Top of post TV A NBC release announced, "For the week of the 2008 Republican National Convention, 'NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams' was the number one network evening newscast topping the competition in all key categories. 'Nightly' averaged 8.231 million total viewers from September 1-5, which includes coverage of the RNC with Brian Williams reporting live from St. Paul, Minnesota. For the week, 'NBC Nightly News' led ABC by +534,000 and CBS by +2.703 million total viewers." An ABC release announced, "ABC's 'World News with Charles Gibson' averaged 7.7 million Total Viewers and a 1.9/7 among Adults 25-54, placing second for the week of September 1, 2008. With Charles Gibson anchoring from the road last week, 'World News' posted the largest weekly gains of the three evening newscasts, increasing 600,000 among Total Viewers and 170,000 among Adults 25-54. This also marks 'World News'' best Total Viewing and demo performances in more than three months (week of May 19 and May 12, respectively)." Fox announced, "FNC's Brit Hume will host 'America's Election HQ... The 9/11 Presidential Forum' live from 8:00-10:00PM ET on Thursday September 11, 2008. Hannity & Colmes follows at 10PM ET."
