Anna Yukhananov joins media, research and analysis organization Morning Consult as an editor responsible for the site’s health and energy coverage. In her capacity as editor, Yukhananov will also be in charge of the section’s newsletters.
Most recently, Yukhananov had been at Reuters, where she had been a Mexico City-based correspondent since 2015, but her work for Reuters dates back to 2015. In that time, she has “covered everything from the FDA, the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, the World Bank, IMF and the occasional international trip with former Treasury Secretary Jack Lew,” according to a staff email from Morning Consult editor in chief Meghan McCarthy.
Yukhananov is the first editorial hire for Morning Consult this year, which has also added four new staff members in other departments in January. The organization, which will be at 43 once all the new staff start, intends for the number of 2017 hires to exceed 2016 hires, which last year included 10 newly created positions.
