Michael Hirschorn Forms Ish Entertainment

The other shoe has dropped. Earlier today we asked the question vexing the New York chattering class: Will Michael Hirschorn remain at VH1? That question arose from the fact that The NYPost reported that Michael Hirschorn, formerly the Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Production for VH1, was fielding other offers.

A few hours ago it was announced that Hirschorn is leaving the Viacom network. VH1 has promoted programming executive Jeff Olde to replace Hirschorn. From TheHollywoodReporter:

”Michael Hirschorn is stepping down from his post as executive vp in VH1’s programming department to launch his own company, Ish Entertainment, which has inked an exclusive first-look deal with MTV, VH1, CMT and Logo.

”… Hirschorn formed Ish with Stella Stolper, senior vp celebrity talent development at VH1. The company will ‘marry formats and talent’ focusing mostly on unscripted programming.”
