McCaleb Leaves Fox News

An internal memo circulated in Fox News’ DC bureau, obtained by FishbowlDC:

Sadly, I have to announce that Ian McCaleb is leaving Fox News. Ian has accepted a position with the Department of Justice as their Senior Spokesman for the Criminal Division. Ian will be missed because of his great contribution to Fox on a daily basis and because he is a great guy to have around. Ian started with Fox in 2002 as the DOJ producer until early in 2003. At that time he went over to the Pentagon and took over our operation there keeping us up to speed as the war went on. Ian took off in 2005 for the bright lights of New York where he worked on Fox Report for about a year and a half before returning to us and taking over Justice again. Ian performed so well at Justice that last year we made him a senior producer and added DHS and the intelligence beats to his work load. Ian broke news on a regular basis for us and kept us ahead of the competition, now we hope he will pass all his sensitive information to us on a daily basis, kidding! Join me in wishing Ian good luck in his new job. He will be with us until the end of the month so get all the use out of him before then.
