Los Angeles Magazine Intern Tragically Passes Away in Australia

Emily Gray Spickler, a 19-year-old journalism student who had just completed an eight-week internship at Los Angeles magazine, passed away suddenly this week while studying abroad in Australia. She was found dead in her University of Southern Queensland dorm in Toowoomba, Australia, just three days short of what would have been her 20th birthday. Local authorities say she died of natural causes.
