Looking for Your Next Hire? Try Abu Dhabi

In an effort to compete with the Western world, Abu Dhabi announced the creation of twofour54, a media zone that “will focus primarily on developing Arabic content for an Arabic-speaking audience and encouraging the growth and learning of local Arab media.”

International organizations including BBC, CNN, Random House, Harper Collins and the Reuters Thompson Foundation are signed up to participate in the project, named after the city’s geographical coordinates.

A temporary facility will be completed in early 2009 while a permanent, 200,000-square foot building is erected on the waterfront.
