Linda Douglass Named Communications Head at Bloomberg Media

The former Atlantic Media communications svp heads to Bloomberg Media.

Linda Douglass, the former Atlantic Media communications executive, is joining Bloomberg Media Group as its global head of communications, the organization announced this morning.

Douglass, who starts in September, will be responsible for strategy and press relations across all of Bloomberg’s many platforms.

Douglass stepped down in 2013 at Atlantic Media, where she was the svp for global communications, to “experiment with the concept of more free time.” Douglass had come to Atlantic Media from the White House, where she served as communications director for the office of health reform from 2009 until April 2010, leaving just as the Affordable Care Act was signed into law.

Prior to her communications roles, Douglass was a seasoned vet of the political journalism circuit, with editorial and correspondent roles at the National Journal, CBS and ABC news, among others.
