Blockbuster combat strategy game developer Kixeye continues to expand at a rapid rate, opening up a new office in Portland, Oregon to serve as the company’s main consumer advocacy center for all games.

The new office is located in Portland’s growing tech community, nicknamed Silicon Forest, and will be located downtown in the Yeon Building (522 SW 5th Ave.). Kixeye will be joining a growing list of tech companies opening satellite offices in the area, including IBM, Yahoo, SalesForce, and Hewlett Packard, and plans to staff as many as 20 employees by the end of 2013.

“Kixeye’s arrival here is yet another indicator of Portland’s continuing attraction for tech companies which recognize our deep talent base, quality of life and business advantages,” said Mayor Charlie Hales via release. “We’re delighted to welcome Kixeye and its growing number of local jobs to the downtown community.”

The new office is actively recruiting local talent to fill immediate roles in customer support in order to help troubleshoot gamer issues as the company continues to expand its presence across online browsers and mobile with games like the recently released Backyard Monsters: Unleashed, and the upcoming TOME: Immortal Arena scheduled to hit in early 2014.

“We’re thrilled to raise the Kixeye flag in Portland. It’s a great city, with phenomenal talent,” said Will Harbin, Kixeye’s CEO. “We look forward to becoming a part of the thriving tech community in Portland.”
