Kindle Launches On Mac App Store

Amazon’s Kindle eReading app is now available in the Mac App Store, the new app store for desktops that Apple launched last week.

Like other Kindle apps, the Kindle app for the Mac App Store is free and includes the ability to shop for more than 775,000 eBooks through the Kindle store. The app can sync to other Kindle apps and Kindles, so if you purchase an eBook on your Kindle, you can also access the book and read your most recent page in any of the apps.

Amazon is putting a lot of emphasis on its Kindle apps these days. Last week, Amazon announced that it is going to tailor its Kindle app specifically for Android-based tablet computers.
