Former BuzzFeed COO and Daily Mail North America CEO Jon Steinberg is preparing to launch a video news startup.
Steinberg told Recode that the site will target everyone’s favorite target: Millennials. “The category [live news] has been given up on,” said Steinberg. “I think there is going to be a version that exists for people in their 20s and 30s.”
To help get the site going, Steinberg has brought on Peter Gorenstein, who previously served as senior executive producer for Yahoo Studios.
