It's Raining Rain at TIME's 100 Poll

Korean pop star Rain has hit the big leagues in the TIME 100 poll, in which readers rank who they think are the world’s most influential people.

By the time the poll closed Thursday night, he had garnered 406,252 “influential” votes and 33,813 “not influential” votes. Rain won the top spot in 2006 and 2007, and placed in second in 2008.

Relevant to Washington readers is Michelle Obama, who took 30th place with 10,853 “influential” votes, pulling far ahead of President Obama, who took 46th place with 5,543 “influential” votes.
