At Thrillerfest this week, Gina Centrello, President and Publisher of The Random House Publishing Group, said that in five years eBooks will be 50% of book sales.
With that in mind, what will book conferences look like? Above is a stack of books from Thrillerfest today. Will this site be a thing of the past in five years? Will we instead see a stack of promocards with codes to download books? Or will there just be a good conference website where attendees can log on with their Wi-Fi enabled book readers and download the eBooks?
Somehow getting your Kindle signed doesn’t seem as appealing, as having a print copy signed. But perhaps inventors will come up with a cool way to do this.
What do you think?
