Over one month ago, Amazon announced the winners of a crowdsourced commercial contest. Digital book fans around the country made homemade trailers for the Kindle.
We enjoyed the winning entries, but also had fun exploring other videos made by fans of the Kindle. YouTube user Filmitordie created the trailer embedded above, pointing out an underappreciated selling point–digital books make kids’ backpacks lighter.
“Boundless Expedition” by Deanne Mroz of Streamwood, IL won the contest. Here’s more about the winning video: “A mystical journey through some of the places you can take your Kindle. I aimed to show the viewer how easy and portable the Kindle is, while also showing that it has a battery that can last through the day and night. The commercial itself has a somewhat playful feeling to give the viewer the sense of imagination that comes when reading a book.”
