Fringe Publication of the Week: Beverly Hills 213

I’m obsessed with the free giveaway publications of Los Angeles. I’ve never seen anyone read, say, the Hollywood Independent or NoHo->LA or the Topanga Canyon Gazetteer, much less met anyone who worked for any of them. Yet these and dozens of other magazines show up stacked outside our coffeeshops and nestled in the foyers of our Borders week after week, month after month. Where do they come from?

My current favorite is Beverly Hills 213, the only publication to bravely take a stance against the 310 area code.
