Looks like FOX 5 has caught the 80’s and 90’s sitcom bug that the “Too Many Cooks” video so graciously vomited upon us last month.
This morning, several FOX-owned stations debuted a new hashtag – #foxflashbackfriday – which would eventually trend nationally on Twitter. Among them was WTTG FOX 5 (DC).
“It’s like TBT– on a Friday!” wrote FOX 5 on their website. “We’re going all #foxflashbackfriday with pics from the past to wrap up your week, and of course– they’re of your favorite FOX 5 faces!”
Playing off of this, the station decided to spice things up with a “Growing Pains” spoof that included Good Day DC’s anchors and reporters: Steve Chenevey, Holly Morris, Wisdom Martin, Melanie Alnwick, Kevin McCarthy and Tucker Barnes.
