If you haven’t already heard, the British royals are in town and DC media is going nuts.
Take for instance, Prince Charles and Camilla’s highly surveyed stroll at the Lincoln Memorial this afternoon. Reporting live via Skype from his iPhone, FOX 5’s Bob Barnard was able to engaged the Prince of Wales twice. At first, the exchange didn’t really go anywhere, but if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
“Have a good visit, sir,” Barnard told the Prince as he walked down the steps of the memorial.
“Do you have something to do with all of this?” Charles asked, referring to his entourage.
“I’m just a TV reporter,” Barnard told him– as they shook hands.
The Prince then points at his iPhone and chuckles, “You don’t look like it.”
“No, we’re going low-tech,” Barnard said.
“It’s amazing what you can do with that,” the Prince said.
Don’t expect this to be the last we hear from the couple during their DC visit, as they are set meet with the President and Veep at the White House later this afternoon.
