Alan Murray has been editor of Fortune for just over one year. Despite that brief amount of time, his editorial guidance has had a significant impact on Fortune.com.
In August, Fortune.com enjoyed record-setting traffic. Compared to August of last year, unique visitors are up 100 percent, to 15.9 million. The change is even more dramatic when looking at mobile traffic. In August of this year, mobile traffic to Fortune.com ballooned by a whopping 390 percent. That’s incredible.
At least in terms of web traffic, it’s safe to say that Time Inc. made the right move when they decided to bring Murray aboard.
