Fandango.com Blogger Erik Davis Gets Major Promotion
Erik Davis (pictured) has been actively blogging for movie ticketing website Fandango.com since March of 2009. He’s obviously been doing a good job, because this week, he was promoted to contributing editor for the site and appointed managing editor of Movies.com, a sister destination owned by Fandango parent Comcast.
The New York based Davis will continue to report to the Fandango duo of Chuck Walton, editor-in-chief, and Stacie Hougland, executive editor. He will also now have a pair of editors under him for both sites: former Cinematical colleague Scott Weinberg and Moviefone contributor Peter Hall.
“We’re looking forward to starting film conversations online—and offline—in the days, weeks, and years to come,” said Davis, who is attending this week’s Comic-Con in San Diego.
