Bustle snags Hearst Digital Media’s Erica Tremblay to head up its 9-person video department. As director of video, Tremblay will be responsible for the work of the team, as well as determining the focus and direction of future video projects.
“Bustle has proven to be the destination for women seeking an authentic point of view, and their growth over the past few years was very impressive to me,” said Tremblay in a statement. “I am thrilled to be leading the charge of creating more premium and longer form video content with the distinctive Bustle voice.”
Bustle began to develop its premium video content last year with the debut of Love, Factually, its first short-form, multi-season series about love and relationships.
Before joining Bustle, Tremblay had been director of video development at Hearst Digital Media, where she worked on both editorial and branded content for Hearst titles that included Cosmopolitan, Esquire and Elle. Tremblay’s aim to push Bustle into more long-form video will be backed by her own experience creating a number of documentaries under Homespun Pictures, the production company she co-founded in 2011.
