Do You Have a Consumer Product Idea?

Do you have a consumer product idea? Google Apps, Boston.com’s The Hive, IndieGogo and Daily Grommet want to help you create it.

These companies have teamed up for new promotion called, “From Home Plate to Home Run,” through which they are seeking the latest in product design ideas. The top ideas will be shown off at Fenway Park in Boston on March 19th. The deadline to enter is March 8th. We’ve embedded a video with more details above.

Here is a list of the rules from Daily Grommet:

• Your concept must be categorized as a consumer goods product.
• You must be willing to use a crowdfunding campaign to fund the initial product run of your idea.
• You must have the ability to come to the live event competition in Boston, March 19, 2013 with supporting team members (5 or less).
• Applicants outside of the Boston area are welcome to apply, but travel to live event will not be covered.
