Not to be outdone by last week’s announcement from Cooper-Hewitt, today Travel + Leisure announced their 2006 Design Award Winners. These picks go way beyond lobbies and suitcases:
“Architecture and design shape every facet of the traveler’s world: hotels, airports, restaurants, and museums, of course, but also concert halls, spas, travel accessories, and more.”
We like the foldable shoes by Adidas but it’s probably because they’re the only thing we can afford.
Jurors were Barbara Barry, Michael Kors, Richard Meier, Alice Rawsthorn, Calvin Tsao, and Angela Westwater and Travel + Leisure contributing design editor Chee Pearlman.
