Katie Couric’s producer, Rick Kaplan, has confirmed he will be leaving CBS, the NYT reports.
His last day is tomorrow.
It’s not known, the NYT said, whether Kaplan has another assignment lined up. Couric’s contract is officially up June 4 and her successor takes over June 6, but Couric hasn’t officially announced her last day, the Times said.
Kaplan’s departure means that CBS is now missing two executive producers. In addition to Kaplan’s departure, David Friedman, producer for “The Early Show,” will be leaving in “the next few weeks.”
