Apple has been rated the coolest brand in Britain for the third straight year, reveals a new survey.
Meanwhile, Twitter has fallen out of the top 20 for the first time since making its debut in 2011.
The CoolBrands annual survey, now in its 13th year, canvasses the opinions of experts and consumers to produce a barometer of the United Kingdom’s highest rated brands.
Apple beat out Aston Martin, Nike and Chanel to win the coveted title, while Instagram entered the list for the first time (largely at Twitter’s expense) to rank number 14. Overall, 13 brands retained their top 20 status from last year.
Twitter finished as high as fourth in 2012.
“It was refreshing to see unique and original brands such as Instagram and Netflix join the Top 20,” said Stephen Cheliotis, CoolBrands Council chairman. “Both have had an impact on the market, shaking up the status quo and forcing rivals to up the ante. Apple, however, continues to dominate the listing and remains untouchable for now.”
Here’s the full list for 2014/15.
