CNN is determined to cover the missing Malaysian Airlines plane. Even if it means proposing that a black hole is responsible. Don Lemon, take it away.
“What if it was something fully that we don’t really understand?” asked Lemon during a live broadcast that featured him reading inane tweets from CNN viewers. A couple tweets mentioned black holes and Lost — you know, the TV show — so Lemon just rolled with it. “A lot of people have been asking about that,” Lemon said. He then asked Mary Schiavo, the former U.S. Department of Transportation inspector general, “I know it’s preposterous, but is it preposterous, Mary?”
Schiavo, bless her heart, didn’t miss a beat. “A small black hole would suck in our entire universe, so we know it’s not that,” she replied. “The Bermuda Triangle is often weather. And Lost is uh, a TV show. So I think, I always like things for which there’s data history; crunch the numbers. So for me those aren’t there. But I think it’s wonderful that the whole world is trying to help with their theories.”
We do too, Marry. We do too.
