Samsung and Adidas have joined forces on the new miCoach, a cell phone that plays music to accompany your workout and pushes you to pick up the pace if you start to slack off.
InfoWorld reports that the miCoach comes with a heart-rate monitor, a sensor that attaches to your shoe to track your workout pace and a Web-based journal so you can track and manage your workout schedule. Despite being a joint Samsung/Adidas offering, the sensor works with any brand of footwear.
The phone can hold about a gig of music, which should be enough to get you through even the most strenuous exercise regimen. According to the article, the miCoach deluxe package with the phone and all the extras, costs in the neighborhood of $600.
