Can Good Programming Make Online Comment Boards More Civil?

Computer science Ph.D candidate Travis Kriplean thinks he has a way to make online comment boards more empathetic and civil. His idea, posted on Zocalo’s website, sounds kind of patronizing and we’re not too sure it can overcome the awesome face of troll power. But we here at FishbowlLA dig his lingering Midwestern accent and think his piece is worth linking to just for the title alone: “I Disagree, You Stupid Racist Fascist Sheep.”
