We’re feeling even more guilty about missing CalArts’ much ballyhooed graduation week binge now that we’ve read the fired up review from NY Times writer Manohla Dargis about “Tomorrowland: CalArts in Moving Pictures,” which opens at MoMA Thursday. Dargis gives some long-due credit for CalArts film and animation grads, and celebrates a program that, while Disney-infused, has nurtured some of the most varied moving images of our time.

Actually, she had us with her opening line: “There is no exact moment when the cultural epicenter of the country shifted from New York to Los Angeles, just a series of progressive baby steps to the left.”
