Bubba 'Hightower' Smith Dead at 66

Police Academy and football star Bubba Smith died at his Baldwin Hills home yesterday. He was 66. Police said there was nothing suspicious about Smith’s passing.

Smith was a defensive star with the Baltimore Colts, the Oakland Raiders and Houston Oilers. He won a Superbowl with the Colts in 1971. But this Fishie’s generation best knew him as Hightower in the Police Academy series. He had Mahoney’s back.
