Broke-bank Mountain? Quaid drops suit, but studio mum
First Nikki Finke‘s Deadline Hollywood Daily, then moments later, Variety both report that Randy Quaid has dropped his $10 million lawsuit against Focus Features over what he saw as insufficient compensation given its $160 million gross.
As Variety explains, “Reps for Quaid, however, are saying he decided to drop the suit after Focus agreed to pay him a bonus that he wants split between the cast. They stressed that it was an unofficial, backdoor agreement between lawyers for the two sides.
