ABC: Then again, maybe Jake isn't in progress..
Despite much hoopla in the L.A. Times and elsewhere, Variety reports that just days after its wimpy debut, ABC is pulling the plug on its low-rated Monday night comedy-for-the-ladies lineup — at least for a week:
“Move is designed in part to protect “Emily’s” and “Jake” from what figures to be particularly brutal competish next week. In addition to CBS’ heavyweight “Two and a Half Men,” Fox has the second part of its two-night, four-hour “24””24″ season premiere and NBC has the Golden Globes.”
