2005 SPJ Awards

The 2005 Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists are out, with three awards for Washington reporters:

  • Knight Ridder’s Chris Adams and Alison Young picked up the award for Washington correspondence for their piece, “Discharged and Dishonored,” about shortchanging America’s veterans.

  • The Post’s Michael Leahy won the magazine writing award for his Post Magazine article, “Family Vacation,” on a family’s reunion.

  • And the independent Center for Public Integrity won an online public service journalism award for its report on state-level telecom lobbying, “Well
