103-Year-Old Steals Show at Veterans Day Event
What happens when the History Channel, Cox Communications and the Dept. of Veterans Affairs get together? Meet Alice Dixon. She’s a 103-year-old veteran who we hear is full of personality. The Take a Veteran to School Day was Wednesday at Whitman Middle School in Alexandria. Dixon served in WWII in the 6888th Postal Division.
Fact: Nearly 30 percent of the students at the school have parents who are serving overseas.
