100,000 iPhone SDK Downloads and Counting

Since its launch last Thursday, more than 100,000 developers have downloaded the iPhone SDK from Apple, Macworld reports. The SDK opens the iPhone to third-party software developers, a number of whom, such as game giant Electronic Arts, are already showing off preview versions of their iPhone apps.

On the productivity side, TypePad blogging software parent Six Apart and financial software outfit Intuit are working on applications for the iPhone as well, Macworld reports.

Apple also said that the video of the iPhone SDK event in Cupertino last week has been viewed more than a million times.
