Former Larsen Colby copywriter Paula Dunbro (top) came up with the stick figures used in the Home Base campaign, while fiddling on her home computer. She says, ‘I’m pretty visual, and when I try to execute an idea, I can’t draw, so . . . ‘ The result was an animated stick figure campaign from Dunbro, 31, who’s currently freelancing in N.Y., and art director partner Victoria Felice, 36, who’s on hiatus in L.A., that charms the viewer even as it smartly hammers home the client’s message: simplifying home improvement. In one spot, we see a woman’s pregnant stomach grow larger in the time it takes her husband to build a nursery. Says Team One copywriter Steve Silver, ‘I feel totally disarmed every time I watch it.’
