Former JWT Broadcast Buyer In Charge
DETROIT–St. George Group, an integrated marketing firm based in Pittsburgh, is expanding its operations with the formation of St. George Media, a national media service that will be headquartered in the Detroit area.
The new office, which recently opened in temporary space in Troy, Mich., is headed by executive vice president Patricia Cuda, who most recently served as senior partner at J. Walter Thompson, Detroit, and director of national broadcast for the agency’s diversified business, including Domino’s Pizza, Goodyear and Tenneco Automotive.
The startup St. George operation, which expects to be fully up and running by late August, will offer full-service media planning and buying to clients and other agencies, Cuda said.
Other executives heading the new St. George Media office include network buyer Nancy Perchard, who also comes from J. Walter Thompson but was formerly with the ABC network, and senior media supervisor Ellen Wright, who was formerly with McCann-Erickson Worldwide in Troy.
Before her stint at J. Walter Thompson, Cuda had been consulting for a variety of clients. Among those she worked with were executives at St. George Group, whose largest client is lens marketer Transition Optical, Pinellas Park, Fla.
Prior to that, Cuda spent 20 years at Ross Roy Communications, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., leaving shortly after the agency divested all its non-Chrysler business.
St. George Group, founded in 1989, had 1997 billings of approximately $58 million.
