LOS ANGELES Publicis Groupe’s Publicis in the West has hired Microsoft marketing executive David Camp as evp, director of business strategy, said Randy Browning, chairman and CEO.

The Seattle-based shop has asked Camp to grow the agency’s T-Mobile business. “As one of our key executives, he will work with the clients and their marketing departments and play upstream, as a bridge to what we do in creative,” said Browning.

Camp previously served as the director of global marketing for Windows Mobile at Microsoft.
