Since opening its doors in 2010, Fueled has tasked its "product whizzes and design masters" to build apps consumers would enjoy again and again for a heady client roster that includes Porsche, Procter & Gamble and JackThreads. "Apps always have this dilemma of people just opening them once and then not using them again," said Rameet Chawla, founder of Fueled. "Our goal is to add functionality where we get them to open up that app on a regular basis." Fueled is now building a shopping app for Barneys and plans to release a souped-up version of popular trivia game QuizUp in the next few months. The firm has five offices worldwide, with its New York hub serving as a co-working space—dubbed Fueled Collective—for 35 startups. The goal is to build a space (Ping-Pong! Free ice cream!) where startups can bounce ideas off of each other. "These are the guys that are changing the industry," Chawla said.
