Lindsay Pattison, CEO of Maxus in the U.K., is the new global chief of the WPP Group shop.

Pattison replaces Vikram Sakhuja, who will remain in an undisclosed position within GroupM, the WPP division that oversees the company's media agencies. The London-based Pattison will divide her time between the U.K. and New York.

The global changes comes five months after the agency recruited PHD's Steve Williams to succeed Louis Jones as North American CEO.

In making the appointment, Maxus credited Pattison, in the top U.K.
