LaSalle Consolidates Account at BBDO

CHICAGO LaSalle Bank Corp. has awarded its consolidated $15-20 million advertising account to BBDO here after a shootout between its two roster shops, the client confirmed.

Cramer-Krasselt in Chicago had handled the Chicago parent company’s LaSalle Bank, while BBDO represented Standard Federal Bank in Troy, Mich. Both properties are owned by ABN AMRO.

BBDO officials could not be reached for comment, and a client representative did not immediately return phone calls. C-K officials confirmed the account shift.

A LaSalle representative last month said the review was a move to “link all of its services under one agency” [Adweek Online, Feb. 4].

LaSalle Bank spent $12 million on advertising through October of last year, and Standard Federal spent $5 million during the same period, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
