Korey Kay Lands Port Authority

NEW YORK The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has selected Korey Kay & Partners to handle its ad ad duties for a three- to five-year term, the agency said.

The New York shop was chosen over five finalists, which included the incumbent, Grey Worldwide’s G2.

Korey Kay has created advertising for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York City for 13 years, and that work was part of what attracted the Port Authority, according to the independent shop. It was unclear exactly what services or locations Korey Kay will be promoting or when its first work is due, according to an agency executive.

The Port Authority provides the region with integrated transportation and trade services. It operates facilities in connection with three major regional airports, interstate traffic through four bridges and two tunnels, bus terminals, the PATH rail system, and certain New York-New Jersey port facilities.

While Korey Kay handles ad duties, mPAct Live Media,a partnership between AXcess in New York and Active Public Enterprise Group of Huntington Beach, Calif., will handle sponsorship and marketing duties. J.C. Deceaux will handle media.
