KB+P Promotes Ashworth to New York GM

NEW YORK Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners has promoted director of client services Cynthia Ashworth to general manager of its New York office.

Ashworth, 40, will report directly to New York president Aaron Reitkopf, the agency said.

She fills the position eliminated when Reitkopf was promoted to his current post following the departure of Rosemarie Ryan a year ago. Ashworth, who will maintain her relationships with key clients like Liberty Mutual, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Unipath, will assume additional operational roles.

“Initially I thought we didn’t need to fill that role, but as we’ve had such a dynamic year in the new business area . . . we’ve needed to fill it now,” Reitkopf said.

Ashworth, who has been with the shop since 1997 and was promoted to director of client services in 2002, will aim to improve collaboration between departments and negotiate and monitor client contracts, Reitkopf said.

“As director of client services, I got really exposed to all the managerial aspects of the business,” said Ashworth. “I’ll be working on compensation, as well as continue to be involved with training, development, agency culture.”

Ashworth said she would split her time evenly between client services and operations.

Jane Geraghty, 34, will replace Ashworth as partner, director of client services. She comes from Ogilvy and Mather, where she held the position of senior partner, executive group director since 2002.
