DETROIT — J. Walter Thompson Detroit has launched a search for a new executive creative director to replace Bruce Rooke, who is joining Gerbig, Snell/Weisheimer & Associates in Columbus, Ohio.

Rooke joined JWT Detroit in 1985 and has overseen creative work for the agency’s cornerstone Ford Motor Co. creative business since August 1997.

During a press event earlier this month, Ford Division marketing communications manager Rich Stoddart praised Rooke and recent work from the agency, including the “Ford on Ford” ads featuring Bill Ford.
