Infogrames Taps MMB

BOSTON-Videogame-maker Infogrames on Thursday chose McCarthy Mambro Bertino for its advertising account following a review, said client officials.

Spending may be as high as $25-30 million, the client said, nearly triple recent annual expenditures, as the client looks to re-establish itself as a force in the marketplace.

Boston-based MMB beat out Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos and Partners & Simons, both in Boston, for the assignment from the New York-based company. Infogrames recently moved oversight for its marketing functions from Los Angeles to Beverly, Mass., and wanted to work with a nearby shop. DDB, Los Angeles, had been handling the business for several months, but did not participate in the pitch.
