Eleven, the San Francisco independent, expanded its relationship with Virgin America, becoming the airline’s media agency of record. Eleven adds responsibility for activities like planning and buying for digital, search, and emerging media.

The agency, which has worked for Virgin America since its U.S. launch in 2007, already handles the airline's creative, strategy, and offline media planning and buying. Last year Virgin America spent $6.3 million in measured media, according to Kantar Media.

The incumbents on the business were Aegis units Carat and iProspect in San Francisco.

Among the clients Eleven works for are Callaway, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, Visa, Proactiv, Apple, and Sun Valley
