‘Adweek’ Creative Seminar Kicks Off

SAN FRANCISCO Adweek‘s 30th Creative Seminar kicks off today with an opening keynote speech by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners’ co-chairman Jeff Goodby.

The two-day event, held at the Fairmont Hotel here, will consist of a range of seminars, panel discussions and workshops examining the state of creativity in advertising. Alex Bogusky, executive creative director of Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami, will receive Adweek‘s first Innovation Award.

Piyush Pandey, executive chairman and national creative director of Ogilvy & Mather in Bombay India, and this year’s Cannes International Advertising Festival TV and Film jury chair, will give the international address. Chuck McBride, executive creative director at TBWA\Chiat\Day, will give the closing presentation.

Other highlights of the seminar, which is co-hosted by Adweek senior creative editor Eleftheria Parpis, Mad Dogs & Englishmen managing partner Nick Cohen, and WongDoody chairman and creative director Tracy Wong, include panels on interactive and outdoor advertising and workshops on copywriting, art directing and brainstorming.
