2 Move Ahead at Arnold

BOSTON Havas’ Arnold has promoted Phil Reilly and Greg Johnson to managing partner and executive vice president, respectively.

Reilly, an 11-year Arnold veteran, previously held the position of evp of brand and business development. During his tenure in that position, Arnold won the $250 million RadioShack business, the largest in the agency’s history.

“Having worked in strategy, production and interactive units of the agency, Phil brings an unusual and valuable perspective to the job of new business head,” said Karen Driscoll, director of operations at Boston-based Arnold, in a statement. “Phil is passionate about great work. His unique style has helped Arnold win, has won Phil strong support across all of the agency’s offices, and has led to him being recognized as one of the best new business leaders in our industry.”

Reilly began his career at Arnold in account management. Since joining the agency, he has worked on a variety of accounts including Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Bell Atlantic and Digital Equipment Corp. In 1998, he moved to broadcast production, where he helped craft the FootBoy “SignBoy” campaign.

Before Arnold, Johnson was a managing partner at Boston-based Epoch Strategy. Prior to that, he was svp, director of account management at Digitas for seven years. During his career, he has worked on brands such as American Express, Diet Coke and Pfizer. At Arnold, he works on Vonage and Royal Caribbean, among others.
