Top of the Ticker: MS NOW has made it official, hiring Paula Reid as chief White House reporter. Reid, who begins her new role immediately, was previously at CNN, where she was chief legal affairs correspondent.

In a internal memo welcoming Reid, MS NOW Washington bureau chief Sudeep Reddy said, “Paula will bring her deep experience to covering the administration, serve as a key reporting voice across MS NOW’s Washington Bureau, and help drive our newsroom’s investigative and enterprise journalism.”

Access fight: CNN, MS NOW, and Politico amended their lawsuit concerning White House press access, asking U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly to make existing access orders permanent as well as prevent the White House from blocking them from performing their rotating press pool duties in the Oval Office and traveling on Air Force One.

New venture: Former CNN executive Andrew Morse has launched a new company, Phareo, which he describes as a “new platform to help creators find the audiences they deserve and to help fans find their next favorite creator.” Co-founded alongside Brian Whitman, Phareo seeks to challenge YouTube among other platforms in the creator ecosystem. Morse departed CNN in 2022 and was most recently the CEO of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

In her own words: CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss spoke publicly for the first time since taking over the news outlet at Jessica Lessin’s The Information 2026 WTF Summit. Some of her remarks from the summit: There isn’t a crisis in trust but “a crisis in trustworthiness.” She also said that 60 Minutes is doing “tremendously well” and that she is not focused on the show’s weekly ratings.

Refreshed look: Regular viewers of ABC’s streaming network ABC News Live will have noticed the debut of a redesigned on-air graphics package. The refresh, which uses cleaner typography and sharper rendering, has the lower third center-justified with no backplate, a layout that works in both 16:9 and 9:16 and lets content move seamlessly into vertical video without reformatting.
