VUDOO APPOINTS BILLY KINCHIN AS GLOBAL CHIEF PRODUCT OFFICER

Former Google senior executive to oversee product strategy and development at pioneering content commerce platform

Vudoo, the content commerce and in-stream checkout pioneer, has announced the appointment of Billy Kinchin as global Chief Product Officer. Reporting to CEO Nick Morgan, Kinchin will oversee Vudoo’s product strategy and development.

As the driving force behind Vudoo’s ambitious product roadmap, Kinchin’s responsibilities will include aligning Vudoo’s offerings with the evolving needs of the advertising technology and e-commerce space, as well as ensuring Vudoo’s solutions provide high value and relevance to its global clients.

Kinchin spent more than 15 years at Google, where he held a number of strategic engineering and product roles across the UK and APAC regions. Prior to Vudoo, he served as the head of APAC at Oovvuu, a publishing technology scale-up. His reputation as a highly experienced technical manager is founded on his ability to lead large, strategic teams and launch technologies in complex commercial ecosystems.

Through his deep expertise in digital advertising, video solutions, and publisher monetisation, Kinchin has built trusted C-level relationships with the market, utilising his grasp of the intricacies of product development, policy, and process to forge strong partnerships and drive revenue growth.

“Billy’s extensive product experience, strategic mindset, and passion for technology will make him an invaluable asset to our company, said Nick Morgan, Founder and CEO of Vudoo. “His expertise is perfectly aligned with Vudoo’s mission to help clients benefit from the new paradigm shift in advertising and e-commerce towards off platform ‘retail everywhere’ shopping experiences driven by the likes of TikTok and Amazon Anywhere.”

Commenting on his appointment, Kinchin said: “Vudoo is shaping a new content commerce category with its unique technology which takes advertising and elevates it to harness the power of ecommerce. I’m looking forward to helping the industry extract more value from video so advertisers, publishers and consumers can get the full benefit of these next-generation e-commerce experiences.”

Founded in Australia by entrepreneur and e-commerce pioneer Nick Morgan, Vudoo has established partnerships with publishers including News Corp, Are Media and New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME). Other Vudoo clients include Forever New, S&P Global and Kohler, with the company facilitating executions in campaigns across global brands such as Hilton, Samsung, Moët & Chandon, Burberry, Dyson, Lexus, Hotel Clicquot and Sunday Riley.

In 2023, Vudoo expanded its operations into the North American market, also opening an office in London and making a number of senior appointments as the company grew its global footprint.

About Vudoo

Founded in 2017, Vudoo‘s content commerce platform enables advertisers to enhance their content by creating personalised journeys through unique, one-to-one storytelling that captures audience attention and boosts engagement.

The company’s patent-pending, in-stream checkout feature allows customers to transact directly within content, enabling advertisers to boost conversions and collapse the sales funnel. Vudoo’s low footprint means brands and publishers can integrate content commerce functions into their tech stack without needing to upgrade their own infrastructure or operational capabilities.
