Mogul Names Nichole Hoskins a Top DEI Leader

The Mars Agency is thrilled to announce that Director of People & Culture Nichole Hoskins has been named to the list of “Top 100 DEI Leaders in 2021” compiled by the Mogul executive recruitment service.

A “culture-focused people management professional,” according to her Mogul profile, Nichole was recognized for using “her experience as a DEI advisor, inclusive workplace specialist and Certified Diversity Executive to develop strategic inclusion interventions for the agency that focus on creating a sustainable, inclusive workplace culture.”

Nichole joined Mars in November 2020 to lead the implementation of our strategic plan for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, which was developed by an internal committee and launched in early 2021. Since then, she has been refining the strategic plan and guiding the initiatives, activities, and events that are bringing it to life.

The goal of The Mars Agency’s DEI initiative is to create an environment where every employee feels welcome to bring their full selves to work every day by curating a diverse workforce, establishing processes to foster inclusion, and ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to achieve their greatest potential.

Through engagement with community special interest groups, training to understand and overcome bias, and a summer internship program offering students from diverse backgrounds access to an industry in which they’ve historically been underrepresented, Mars is striving to make inclusion an innate part of the way we work.
For that reason, Hoskins has performance management and talent development as part of her responsibilities.

“These are areas where bias can make it difficult to retain and promote underrepresented groups,” explains Hoskins. “So managing these processes helps to ensure the agency is always evaluating them for fairness and equity.”
