Meredith Broadcasting Wednesday (Oct. 1) filled the top post at its stations in Las Vegas and Portland, Ore.

In Portland, Patrick McCreery was promoted to vp and general manager of KPTV and KPDX-TV, the company’s Fox and MyNetwork TV affiliates, from acting general manager. He takes over from Kieran Clarke, who was recently named to the new position of executive vp and general manager of Meredith Video Solutions.

Darrin McDonald was promoted to vp and general manager of KVVU-TV, the company’s Fox affiliate in the market, from acting general manager. He succeeds Holly Steuart who exited Meredith in August.

Both executives have a long track record with Meredith. McCreery has worked as assistant news director for KPTV/KPDX and at KPHO-TV, the company’s CBS affiliate in Phoenix, Ariz.
McDonald joined KVVU-TV in 2007 as general sales manager and promoted to acting general manager in August. He also worked as general sales manager at KSMO-TV, the company’s MyNetworkTV affiliate in Kansas City since 2004.
